Electronic configuration of $H e$ is $1 s^{2}$ .
Molecular Orbital Diagram for $H e_{2}$ is

Bond order= $\frac{(No. of electrons in bonding molecular orbital)-(No. of electrons in anti-bonding Molecular orbital)}{2}$
$= \frac{2 - 2}{2} = 0$
$∴ H e_{2}$ bond order is $0$ . There is no bond existing between atoms of $H e_{2}$ . So $H e_{2}$ does not exist.
