Open in App
Solution

Dear Student, When ice melts to form liquid it will take latent heat of fusion from the surrounding to produce cooling in addition to the specific heat of ice whereas water has no latent heat from the surrounding medium. Thus, ice is more effective in cooling than water at same temperature. Regards
