why in India female participation in politics is low give one reason

​​​​​India females participation in politics is generally very low. Some of the reasons are stated below-​​​​

• Women are being harassed in many ways like in office, at home, etc
• Though many social activists’ fight for the protection of women’s rights it is not fulfilled even today
• To overcome the injustice done to them, they have to express their owes in public through Parliament and Legislatures
• But, there are only few women members elected to Parliament
• In India, the percentage of women participation in Parliament is very low when compared to the percentage in developing countries.
