  1. Work done is mathematically defined as the product of force and displacement.
    Workdone=Forceapplied×Displacement
  2. For work to be done, a force must be exerted and there must be motion or displacement in the direction of the force.
  3. If force displaces a body then work has been done, If force does not displace then the work done is zero.
  4. Porter is holding a load by applied force but there is no displacement, Hence work done by porter is zero.
