Why is AC passed to the solution to measure conductivity?

Solution
Conductivity measurements are done by AC because of the following reasons:
If DC is used then electrolysis will occur and the concentration of the solution will change with time. As a result of this, there will be some errors in the measured conductivity.
When DC is used it will polarize the electrodes and electrolyte which will lead to an error in measured conductivity. If AC is used there will be no polarization due to the non-continuous flow of current.
Thus AC is passed to the solution to measure conductivity.
