Open in App
Solution

An aqueous solution of HCl is a good conductor of electricity this is because:

  • HCl is a strong electrolyte and can dissociates completely in an aqueous solution.

HCl(aq)H+(aq)+Cl-(aq)

  • After the dissociation, the solution contains free mobile ions which allow the electric current to pass throughout it.

Hence, an aqueous solution of HCl is a good conductor of electricity.
