Solution

Biogas: Biogas is a type of sustainable energy that is created using organic waste and materials by the process of anaerobic digestion.

It is considered superior to dry animal dung because:

  1. The combustion of animal excrement pollutes the atmosphere, whereas biogas is a smokeless fuel.
  2. Animal dung which is used as fuel has a lower calorific value than biogas.
  3. Animal dung leaves a residue after burning, whereas biogas doesn't leave any residue after burning.
