Solution

Dear Student,

Brain is the most important part of the central nervous system. It is the highest coordinating system in our body due to following reasons:
  • Cerebellum (part of hindbrain) controls the voluntary movement of muscles present inside our body.
  • It is responsible for sending and receiving various signal as responses through the chemical messengers.
  • Cortex, the outermost layer of brain cells, mediates the thinking and voluntary movements such as orientation, emotions, memory, speech, etc.
  • The midbrain controls motor functions, auditory and visual responses.
  • The hindbrain regulates the respiratory mechanisms of the body.
