Brass is an alloy of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) i.e., the alloy of two metals.
That is why brass has high thermal conductivity.
Brass gets heated up very quickly and also gets cooled very quickly.
So, brass is not suitable for type making because brass contracts on solidification.
