E-waste or electronic waste term is given to those electronic products that have become unwanted, non-working and have essentially reached the end of their life e.g. monitors, cell phone, machines etc. Improper disposal of e-waste affects the soil, air and water components of the environment. When electronic containing heavy metals such as lead, barium, lithium, krypton etc. disposed of in water, these heavy metals mix with pond, lake water. These chemicals lead the death of the plants and animals living in water. Some chemicals are carcinogenic, which can cause cancer. Sometime intake of contaminated water by humans and animals cause lead poisoning.
