This is because cooking kills harmful germs and food becomes germless.
Cooking denatures proteins and breaks down starchy plants (tubers) into simpler form (sugars). In this way, cooking improves our ability to digest and receive nutrients from the food we consume. Cooking will also enhance the taste of food.
Also if we intake uncooked or raw food which is rich in meat content, it exposes us to potentially-lethal bacteria and the chances of infection and diseases increases.
