Question

Why is it advised to not put a pin or a pencil in our ears?

Open in App
Solution

The eardrum is a sensitive part of our ear which helps us in hearing. The eardrum is a thin stretched membrane which vibrates and transmits sounds to the inner ear.
A sharp object such as a pin or a pencil could potentially rupture the eardrum and lead to hearing loss. Hence, it is advised to keep such objects away from the ear.
