Solution

Linear programming:
An approach to optimizing operations given restrictions is called linear programming. Linear programming's basic goal is to maximize or minimize numerical values. It is made up of linear functions that are constrained by inequalities or equations.

Linear programming consists of linear inequality and a linear function and it has extensive use in combinatorial optimization. For these reasons, it is called as linear programming.
