Why is it difficult to drive a car on wet roads than in dry roads during the night on a rainy days

Dear student, This is due to ​the fact that the car skids because of the reduced friction between wheels and road, this happen because of wet surface provided by the rain which ultimately causes less friction. Hence it becomes very difficult to control the vehicle. Regards
