Why is it not possible to make use of solar cells to meet all our energy needs? State three reasons to support your answer.

Following are the reasons why it is not possible to use solar energy to meet all our energy needs

1. Efficiency of solay cells is very low as compared to other sources of energy
2. Installation cost of solar panels is high, hence economivcally it is not viable
3. Solar energy is available during day time only. It is not available during night and cloudy season
4. Only D.C. electricity is produced from solar cells
