Question

Why is it so that it is difficult to drive a bicycle on a concrete road with less pressure in the tires

Open in App
Solution

At low pressure the surface area of the tyres, in touch with the road surface is more. Therefore, the friction between the two surfaces increases. Hence, the energy required to overcome the friction and keep the cycle in motion increases. This makes the cycle difficult to ride.
