It happens because of inertia, the body tries to maintain its state of rest. In doing so, the person falls in the opposite direction of travel of vehicle.
Not only the people, but the column of air also experiences the same inertia. The air rushes to the rear of the vehicle, due to which the driver may feel dizzy at high speeds(lack of oxygen). This problem can be solved by providing a small air vent in front of the driver.
