Solution

Urine formation in summers

  1. Urine is the transparent, pale yellow, acidic fluid having a pH of 6.0.
  2. The pale yellow color of urine depends on the presence of a pigment called the urochrome.
  3. During summer, the weather is hot and the body sweats to thermoregulate.
  4. Since, a lot of water is lost through sweating, the rate of reabsorption of water in the kidneys is increased.
  5. Hence, less urine is formed in summer even if a lot of water is taken.
