Why is lower body temperature needed for the production of sperms? How did the body temperature in male humans changes from the normal to lower for the sake of the production of sperms?

Dear student, The high temperature is damaging to the sperms. To escape from the higher temperature of the body, the testicles descent into the scrotum. The temperature in the human scrotum is usually 1 to 2 degree lower that the normal body temperature (which is 37degree Celsius). This temperature is needed to maximise sperm production. When temperature rises sperm production falls and person may become infertile. Regards
