Why is mining limited to the sites where minerals are found? Explain the different ways of mineral extraction

It is because an ore is a form of rock from which minerals are mined.

Different ways of mineral extraction:
1.Minerals are extracted from the Earth through the process called mining.
2.There are several ways in which minerals can be extracted, but the two main methods are called surface mining and subsurface mining.
3.Surface mining-Minerals are extracted that are near the earth suface.The methods used are open-pit mining and strip mining etc.
4.Sub surface mining-Some minerals are found deep inside the earth.To extract them subsurface mining is done.The method used are blast mining,longwall mining and solution mining etc.
