Question

Why is moon not regarded as a luminous body?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Luminous bodies can emit light of their own.
Moon is not considered as a luminous body as it does not emit light of its own. It only reflects the light of the Sun, and that's why it appears shining.
Thats why moon is a non-luminous body.
