Why is nylon used in manufacturing of seat belts?

Nylon is the strongest among synthetic fibers, it doesn’t rot as quickly, it doesn’t stretch as much, and woven nylon it is smooth and comfortable to the touch, as it does not leave rough ends of fibers embedded in the weave.Nylon has very high tensile strength. Nylon fibres are very strong. Since nylon is adequately flexible and strong compared to other materials hence e prefer nylon for making seat belts.
They are also used for making ropes which are used for climbing rocks and for making parachutes.
