Solution

Parenchym tissues are present almost everywhere in the plant. They form the bulk of plant body. They are found in soft part of the plants such as cortex of roots, ground tissues in stems and mesophyll of leaves. They provide support, store food and help in transportation also in plants.

As parenchyma are mostly present in cortex of roots and ground tissues, they are called as ground level tissue.
