Dear student
Any process which is self-initialising and self-sustaining is termed as dynamic process.
Pollen-pistil interaction is the group of events that occur from the time of pollen deposition over the stigma to the time of pollen tube entry into ovule. It has checks at several places for promotion or
inhibition of pollen growth. It is actually a method to prevent cross fertilisation or interspecific fertilisation. Thus, it increases homozygosity and decreases heterozygosity and thus reduces genetic variation.
Thus, thus is a dynamic process involving pollen recognition followed by promotion or inhibition of the pollen. Various chemical components are produced during the interaction .
