Solution

Dear Student,

When a acid react with base a salt will be formed along with water molecule. Similarly when hydrochloric acid react with strong sodium hydroxide base it will form neutral salt i.e., Sodium chloride and water.

The reaction takes place is given below :

NaOH + HCl ----> NaCl + H2O

Sodium hydroxide is corrosive in nature and when its drop is comes in contact with our skin then it readily react with protien and lipids present in it.
