  3. It uses a a magnetic needle to detect the small currents.

Uses of soft Iron core in a galvanometer.

  1. A soft iron core that is used here is ferromagnetic in nature.
  2. It can attract or give strength to magnetic lines of force.
  3. It could retain the magnetism even when the current us switched off.
  4. It basically increases the sensitivity of the galvanometer.
