Solution

As per the definition of Current Assets, these are those assets that can be converted into cash within a short period of time. Stock or stock-in-trade are classified under Inventories- as a major head of Current Assets. The reason for including stock into current assets is basically that stock-in-trade can be converted into cash within a short period of time (say within a year).
