Succinate dehydrogenase:
Succinate dehydrogenase or SDH is an enzyme found in the inner mitochondrial membrane.
It is placed in the inner mitochondrial membrane because it has an immensely important role of acting as a catalyst in both citric acid cycle and in electron transport chain.
In citric acid cycle, succinate dehydrogenase helps in catalyzing succinate into fumarate.
It is also included in complex II of electron transport chain, linking citric acid cycle with electron transport chain.
