  1. Succinate dehydrogenase or SDH is an enzyme found in the inner mitochondrial membrane.
  2. It plays an immensely important role of acting as a catalyst in both citric acid cycle and in electron transport chain.
  3. Succinate dehydrogenase plays a key role in aerobic respiration.
  4. It oxidises succinate to fumarate in the Krebs cycle and transfers electrons to complex III via ubiquinone in the ETS.
