Why is temperature above 200C is not used in laboratory preparation of HCL

The reaction between sodium chloride and sulphuric acid to prepare HCl is not heated above 200C because, at higher temperature, sodium sulphate is formed, which is a hard substance and difficult to remove from the reaction flask.
