Question

Why is that the urine excreted during summer months is hypertonic?

Open in App
Solution

A lot of water is lost by sweating during summers. The body needs to conserve water at such times. Hence urine is produced with minimal loss of water i.e. hypertonic urine. Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) helps in this.
