Question

Why is the buoyant force equal in different liquids with same object?

Open in App
Solution

The object is floating in equilibrium which means that the buoyant force equals its weight. The differing densities of various fluids make the object submerge a different volume of its body in each fluid to accomplish that same buoyancy.
