Why is the fuse connected in series but the switches are connected in parallel in domestic circuit?

Solution

Dear Student,
The switches are connected in parallel in a circuit so that if one connection is severed the other remains intact and the electricity flow to other appliances remains the same. The fuse is connected in series so that if there is any resistance overloading it can take the overloading of the circuit and detect the overloading .it is also connected in series so that all current can pass through it.
