Lymphatic system:

  1. Lymphatic system keeps our body tissues hydrated by eliminating any fluids that leak out of our blood vessels.
  2. It constitutes lymph vessels, lymph nodes, lymphoid organs and tissues.
  3. The lymph nodes are nodes that monitor the lymph that flows into them and create cells and antibodies to defend our bodies from infection and sickness.
  4. The spleen and thymus are lymphatic organs that monitor and respond to infections and malignant cells in the bloodstream.
  5. Our immune responses, both general and particular, rely on the lymphatic system to work properly, as it contains lymphocytes.
