Why is the melting point of polar molecules a bit higher in comparison to the non polar molecules although there is no electronegativity difference b/w the non polar as well as it is bonded with a strong covalent bond?

Polar molecules are having a strong ionic bond and its stronger than the covalent bond formed by non polar molecules by sharing. That is why they have higher melting point.
