Question

Why is the monsoon considered as the unifying bond

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

The seasonal alteration of the wind systems and the related weather conditions co-ordinate to put in place a rhythmic cycle of seasons. Each season has it's own social as well as economic significance, and so does monsoon. All across the country, people, especially farmers, eagerly await the arrival of the monsoon. A vast chunk of our agricultural sector depends on a good monsoon for a good harvest. Monsoon also brings a respite from the draining summer months, providing relief from the prickly-heat days. A lot of festivities, too, depend on the monsoon. Hence, from North to South and East to West, the entire country looks forward to the monsoon and hence it is considered as a unifying bond.

Regards.
