Why is the number of stomata more on the lower side of leaves

There are more stomata on lower surface of leaves. because they are less exposed to sunlight and wind flow which results in less loss of water than in upper surface.

The more number of stomata in the lower side of leaves reduce the rate of transpiration through stomata.
