Why is the preamble an important part of the Constitution?
The preamble of India, adopted on 26 November 1949 by the Constituent Assembly of India, is an important part of the Constitution. It contains the philosophy to build and developing the entire constitution. It states that India is a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic country. It represents the people of India as the source of the constitution. Under this, equal opportunity and rights are given to the citizens. It gives us fundamental values and highlights the Constitution.
