Why is the use of biofertilisers preferred to chemical fertilisers ?

The use of biofertilizer is preferred over chemical fertilizer because biofertilizer contains organic materials while chemical fertilizers contain a chemical substance which is harmful to the consumers. Continuous use of chemical fertilizers to the soil leads to decrease in the fertility of the soil and increase the acidity of the soil.
