• Charcoal which is produced by burning wood in the absence of $\mathrm{Oxygen}\left(\mathrm{O}\right)$ is a better fuel than wood because it burns without flames.
• All the volatile substances including water are evaporated from charcoal.
• It is comparatively smokeless and has higher heat generation than wood.
• So we can say that wood charcoal is a better fuel than the wood itself.
