Why it is necessary to increase area under permanent pastures.

It is necessary to increase the land under permanent pasture because day by day due to excess use of land there has been a growing trend of disappearing permanent pasture lands.

Apart from that if the land is not increased under pasture then animals would have to go to the forest areas for grazing which will also result in the depletion of forest land.

The human encroachment into forests will increase and this will result in threat to wild animals as well as plants.
