Question

Why light follows a straight line path in air?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Light travels from one point to another following a straight path, called rectilinear propagation of light.
  2. This path can deviate if light passes from one medium to another. Hence any ray passing through the air (same medium) will travel in a straight line.
