Electromagnetic wave: In simple words, EM waves are waves that are formed when an electric field and a magnetic field vibrate together.
Light is an electromagnetic field disturbance that propagates. Because light does not carry charge particles, it is not bent by electric or magnetic forces if some abstruse quantum effects are ignored. The field disturbances simply superimpose themselves on whatever electric and magnetic fields are present in the space being traveled.
Charged particles that are stationary are "electric," charged particles that move at a steady velocity are "magnetic," and charged particles that accelerate generate "electromagnetic radiation" that travels at the speed of light, as per the theory of electricity and magnetism.
Charged particles do not interact instantly; instead, they interact through the mediation of an energy field. This energy field is called the "electromagnetic field."
To put it another way, "light" is the passage of energy from one area of the electromagnetic field to another, and it enhances the connection of electric and magnetic objects, but it is neither electric nor magnetic.
