Question

Why lyophilic colloids are called natural colloids?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student, As lyophilic colloids are solvent loving so they can be easily prepared and thus are found abundantly in nature unlike lyophobic colloids which needs to be prepared as they have very less affinity for solvent. This property of lyophilic colloids make them natural colloids. Regards
