In India monsoon usually lasts from July to September. Though it is very irregular and unpredictable, in India farming is 60% dependent on rainfall.

Farming supplies all the required raw material for industrial development of the nation and this farming is solely dependent on agriculture.

Lower rain fall result in drought and famines.
