Question

Why non metal do not react with water

Open in App
Solution

- Non-metals are acceptors of electrons hence, they do not react because when they react with acids do not give the electron to the H+ ion. Therefore, non-metals do not react with acids.

Non-metals will normally not react with water, however, non-metal oxides will react with water to form acids.
