It controls all the activities of the cell so it is called as Controller of the cell. Nucleus consists of three main parts—nuclear membrane, nucleoplasm and nucleolus.
Functions of Nucleus:
Nucleus plays an important role during cell division.
Nucleus contains thread-like structures called chromosomes. These carry genes and help in inheritance or transfer of characters from the parents to the offspring.
