Why osmosis does not occur in air?

Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of solvent molecules through a semi-permeable membrane into a region of higher solute concentration, in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides.

So clearly the basic requirements to happen the process osmosis are
1) a semi permiable membrane
2)a potential difference

In air there is no semi permiable membrane.This is the reason why osmosis doesn't occur in atmosphere or in air.
