Why oxygenation of blood necessary for us?

When our blood gets oxygenated, It supplies all the cells with oxygen for further process of respiration so that the oxidation of the glucose takes place for the release of energy that is very important for the survival of an organism. Blood carries oxygen to the muscles for respiration, which releases energy to contract muscles. so, for all these mechanism, oxygenation of blood is important.
