Question

Why plants cannot walk

Open in App
Solution

The main reason plants do not usually move from place to place is because they are rooted into the ground by their roots .Roots also provide support ,so the plants don't fall over.

Plants do not possess the mechanism for locomotion. They do not have any machinery for movement. The energy they receive from the sun is entirely used for photosynthesis.
